What is Stainky’s Pit Prep?
Stainky’s Pit Prep is an AHA-based underarm spray designed to reset your underarm microbiome. It gently exfoliates, reduces odor-causing bacteria, and helps your deodorant work better. All without aluminum, baking soda, or fragrances.
How does Pit Prep work?
Pit Prep uses alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) to lower the skin’s pH, creating an environment where odor-causing bacteria struggle to thrive. Over time, this helps reduce odor naturally instead of masking it.
Can I use Pit Prep with other deodorants?
Yes. Pit Prep works with any deodorant. For best results, apply Pit Prep first on clean, dry skin, let it fully dry, then apply your deodorant. Many customers find they need less deodorant over time.
Do I have to use deodorant with Pit Prep?
Not always. Some people find Pit Prep alone is enough after the adjustment period. Others prefer pairing it with a deodorant for scent and added protection.
How long does the detox phase last?
If you’re switching from antiperspirant, you may notice a short adjustment period lasting about 1–2 weeks. During this time, your body regulates sweat naturally and your underarm microbiome shifts. This is normal and temporary.
Will Pit Prep stop sweating?
No. Pit Prep is not an antiperspirant and does not block sweat glands. It helps control odor while allowing your body to sweat naturally.
How often should I use Pit Prep?
Most people use it once daily. Some prefer twice daily during the transition phase, then scale back once their odor is balanced.
Is Pit Prep safe for sensitive skin?
Yes. Pit Prep is formulated to be gentle, but if you have very sensitive skin, start with once daily use and monitor how your skin responds.
Can I use Pit Prep after shaving?
Yes. Pit Prep is gentle enough that most people experience no irritation, even after shaving. If you have extra sensitive skin, we recommend you wait at least 24 hours after shaving before applying to avoid irritation. Always wait 24 hours after waxing.
How long does one bottle last?
With daily use, one bottle typically lasts 6–8 weeks.
